Thorough verification of obstacle hits to transfer, which is Jimny’s weak point. Developed with the highest priority on ensuring suitability and ground clearance as well as strength, weight, and cost. In the normal state, the transfer case protrudes 30 mm under the frame. The demerits of the conventional product that protrudes further downward by the amount of the guard attached are eliminated, and the off-road performance is greatly improved.
When installing the guard, by adding a spacer to the transfer case and transfer mount, the ground clearance is improved compared to the normal car and the entire surface is flattened along with the frame. The front and rear frames stay on the driver’s side are covered with a guard to connect them, and the guard body has a box structure to increase strength, contributing to transfer protection and improved skid performance.
The material of the guard designed for skid is 3mm thick stainless steel that is hard and rust-resistant to withstand abuse.
